Cambrooke: Still Dedicated to Our Customers After Two Decades

Despite changes and challenges, our highest focus is on the patients we serve.

Cambrooke has supported the PKU community as a small business for over 20 years. The company was created by David and Lynn Paollela, when their two kids, Cameron and Brooke, were born with PKU, and they chose the name “Cambrooke” in their honor. For over two decades, Cambrooke has worked diligently to provide the most nutritious and delicious low protein foods for our patient community.

Over the last couple of years, many of the external vendors and suppliers we have worked with have had some challenges:

  • Supply chain disruption
  • Discontinuation of ingredients we depend on for our products
  • Increased order minimum requirements of raw materials
  • Closures of our vendors, suppliers and co-packers’ offices
  • Shipping delays of ingredients, which delays our production

These external challenges have led to some discontinuation of our products, temporarily putting some out of stock, or necessitating changes to some of the shapes, tastes and textures. This was an unexpected reality, and something Cambrooke had never experienced before.

But as other companies have closed their doors or discontinued their entire food portfolio, we remain committed to our clients. While the setbacks are real and they are difficult for all of us, we continue to navigate around these obstacles as they arise.

We know change can be difficult, and each and every day we are looking for alternative solutions to ensure we deliver the best tasting and quality products we know you deserve and have loved for the last 20 plus years.
