{"id":1860,"date":"2020-06-22T08:58:52","date_gmt":"2020-06-22T08:58:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cambrooke.com\/blog\/?p=1860"},"modified":"2021-01-18T15:28:22","modified_gmt":"2021-01-18T15:28:22","slug":"cherry-pie","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cambrooke.com\/blog\/2020\/06\/cherry-pie\/","title":{"rendered":"Cherry Pie"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Pastry:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 Tbs \/ 12 g butter<\/li>\n<li>1 Tbs \/ 8 g confectioners sugar<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 Tbs \/ 8 g vegetable oil<\/li>\n<li>1\/3 cup \/ 20 g <a href=\"https:\/\/store.nexternal.com\/cbfi2000\/wel-made-baking-mix-p985.aspx#.XvByVWpKjBI\">Wel-made Baking Mix<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Filling:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1\/5 tsp \/ 10 g cherry jam<\/li>\n<li>1 Tbs \/ 15 g butter<\/li>\n<li>0.4 fluid oz \/ 10 g rice milk<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 cup \/ 40 g <a href=\"https:\/\/store.nexternal.com\/cbfi2000\/wel-made-baking-mix-p985.aspx#.XvByVWpKjBI\">Wel-made Baking Mix<\/a><\/li>\n<li>1 Tbs \/ 15 g brown sugar<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 tsp \/ 2 g almond extract<\/li>\n<li>1-2 tsp water<\/li>\n<li>2 Tbs \/ 15 g confectioners sugar<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Directions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>For the Pastry:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Add <a href=\"https:\/\/store.nexternal.com\/cbfi2000\/wel-made-baking-mix-p985.aspx#.XvByVWpKjBI\">Baking mix<\/a> and butter to a mixing bowl and rub together with fingertips until it resembles breadcrumbs<\/li>\n<li>Mix in the confectioners sugar and add the vegetable oil and mix<\/li>\n<li>Gradually add water to form a dough<\/li>\n<li>Shape the dough into a ball and flatten it out into a disc<\/li>\n<li>Wrap in cling film and chill for 30 minutes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>For the sweet centre:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Beat together the butter and sugar until combined and smooth<\/li>\n<li>Add rice milk and stir together<\/li>\n<li>Add <a href=\"https:\/\/store.nexternal.com\/cbfi2000\/wel-made-baking-mix-p985.aspx#.XvByVWpKjBI\">Baking mix<\/a> and almond extract and mix together<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>For the frosting:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Add water gradually to confectioners sugar and mix together<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Making the pie:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Roll the pastry and dust with Baking mix<\/li>\n<li>Cut a 10cm circle from the dough<\/li>\n<li>Place the dough in a muffin tin and push out any creases<\/li>\n<li>Bake for 15 minutes at 350 F<\/li>\n<li>Fill the bottom with cherry jam<\/li>\n<li>Add sweet dough mixture on top<\/li>\n<li>Bake for a further 20 minutes at 350 F<\/li>\n<li>Leave to cool completely<\/li>\n<li>Spoon the frosting on top<\/li>\n<li>Add cherry to decorate<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Makes: 1<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Nutritional Information:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Calories: <\/strong>675\u00a0kcals<\/li>\n<li><strong>Phe:\u00a0<\/strong>16 mg<\/li>\n<li><strong>Protein:\u00a0<\/strong>0.4\u00a0g<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Cherry Pie\" width=\"1140\" height=\"641\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/fKV3lNpU4ys?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer;
