{"id":1784,"date":"2020-04-10T10:27:42","date_gmt":"2020-04-10T10:27:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cambrooke.com\/blog\/?p=1784"},"modified":"2020-04-10T10:27:42","modified_gmt":"2020-04-10T10:27:42","slug":"hot-cross-buns","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cambrooke.com\/blog\/2020\/04\/hot-cross-buns\/","title":{"rendered":"Hot Cross Buns"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2.5 cups\/ 275g <a href=\"https:\/\/store.nexternal.com\/cbfi2000\/wel-made-baking-mix-p985.aspx#.XpBEVpNKjBI\">Well-Made Baking Mix<\/a><\/li>\n<li>2 1\/2 cups\/ 10g Active Dry Yeast<\/li>\n<li>2 tbsp\/ 50g White Sugar<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp\/ 6g Salt<\/li>\n<li>1 tbsp\/ 15g Vegetable Oil<\/li>\n<li>3\/4 cup\/ 177ml Lukewarm Water<\/li>\n<li>Grated rind of 1 medium Orange<\/li>\n<li>1tsp\/ 2g Nutmeg<\/li>\n<li>1 cup\/ 144g Currents<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp\/ 3g Cinnamon<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp\/ 2g Ground Cloves<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>For Icing:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>7.5\/ 60g tbsp Icing Sugar<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp Water<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Method<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Soak yeast and sugar in water for 10 minutes or until alive and frothy.<\/li>\n<li>In a large bowl, mix Low Protein Flour\u00a0and salt. Gradually add yeast mixture and oil until a firm dough is formed. Add more baking mix if needed.<\/li>\n<li>Add all remaining dough ingredients and knead to combine for 4-5 minutes. Cover with film and let the dough prove overnight in the refrigerator.<\/li>\n<li>Divide dough into 6 large balls.
