In honor of the day, we\u2019d like to share some of our favorite low-protein Tex-Mex recipes; a tortilla bowl, a quesadilla, tortilla chips and queso, Bettermilk horchata, and an apple tortilla for dessert!<\/p>\n<p>And if you need ingredients, this is the final week to take advantage of <a href=\"https:\/\/store.nexternal.com\/cbfi2000\/promotional-savings-c7.aspx#.WunFiYjwbIU\">Cinco De Mayo Discount Deals at Cambrooke.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1192\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cambrooke.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/289_TacoSaladBowl_orig-500x445.jpg\" alt=\"289_TacoSaladBowl_orig\" width=\"500\" height=\"445\" \/><\/p>\n<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cambrooke.com\/recipes\/low-protein\/recipe-detail.php?id=289\">Taco Salad Bowl<\/a><\/h2>\n<h4>Ingredients<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>1 CBF Tortilla Wrap<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 (36g) CBF Camburger, chopped<\/li>\n<li>1 Tbs chopped onion<\/li>\n<li>1 cup lettuce, shredded<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 cup tomatoes, diced or halved cherry tomatoes<\/li>\n<li>1 Tbs CBF Cheddar Shreds<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Directions<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray an empty 4-5 inch diameter baking dish with cooking spray. Drape a tortilla over top. Bake 8-10 minutes. Let cool 5 minutes before removing tortilla from dish.<\/li>\n<li>Optional: While tortilla is baking, brown Camburger with taco seasoning, set aside.<\/li>\n<li>Place tortilla bowl on plate and spread chopped Camburger evenly in bottom of tortilla bowl. Brush the top lightly with vegetable oil.<\/li>\n<li>Heat a clean nonstick saute pan and place the quesadilla, oiled side down, into the heated pan. Brush oil on the dry side of the quesadilla.<\/li>\n<li>Cook for 3 minutes, or until browned. Brown on all sides while continually turning so as to deglaze the pan.
